Leading digital dentistry advocates, Dr. Jonathan L. Ferencz, DDS and Dr. Parag Kachalia, DDS, will host the two CE course workshops. Each workshop is worth one continuing education unit (1 CEU) credit. The courses are free and open to Greater New York Dental Meeting attendees.
The two workshops will focus on the digital dentistry workflow. In their respective presentations, Dr. Ferencz and Dr. Kachalia will demonstrate the use of the 3Shape TRIOS® digital impression solution as well as 3Shape software used for treatment planning and CAD-restoration design.
The courses will go into detail on how digital dental technology is improving efficiency, increasing quality and consistency for dental professionals as well as enhancing the patient experience.

Technological advances have brought a series of digital solutions to dentistry. Dr. Jonathan Ferencz will present a series of cases completed using a digital impression scanner to capture the patient's impression and then sending the same through the cloud to 3Shape's Dental System CAD software to design both simple and complex cases. He will explain the indications for different CAD/CAM materials, the types of cases best treated as same-day dentistry, the use of 3D-printed models, and partnerships with dental laboratories and milling centers. There also will be a demonstration of intra-oral scanning with the 3Shape Color Trios.
