Brand Commits to Sustainability by Launching Free Recycling Program through TerraCycle
TRENTON, N.J., September 20, 2023 – Clear Blue Smiles, the leading innovator in clear aligner treatment programs and technology, has partnered with international recycling leader TerraCycle to enable consumers to recycle their used clear aligners.
“We are looking forward to offering a truly comprehensive recycling program for clear aligners for our doctors and their patients,” said Kevin Dillard, CEO. “Removing plastic that we create from the environment is a vital component of our pledge to leave things better than we found them.”
Through the Clear Blue Smiles Free Recycling Program, consumers can now send in used Clear Blue Smiles clear aligners to be recycled with a free prepaid shipping label. Once collected, the clear aligners are cleaned, sorted by material type and reduced into materials that can be remolded to make new products.
The launch of the recycling program marks the latest addition to Clear Blue Smiles’ existing sustainability efforts which include creating the first-ever set of environmental guidelines for the dental industry and using sustainable packaging. All with the goal of reducing the negative impact the dental industry has on the environment.
