ORANGE, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2013)—Ormco Corporation, a leading manufacturer and provider of advanced orthodontic technology and services, today announced registration is open for its 13th Annual Damon® Forum, the largest privately-sponsored orthodontic event in the world.
The clinical educational and practice-building conference featuring more than 30 interactive sessions for clinicians, treatment coordinators, front office staff and chairside assistants will take place Jan. 15-18, 2014, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Ariz. The conference, attended annually by more than a thousand orthodontic professionals, offers practices an opportunity to learn new treatment modalities, progressive technologies and practice differentiation strategies alongside fellow peers and well-respected industry speakers and educators.
“As the orthodontic industry continues to evolve and doctors seek a manufacturer that makes their practice success a priority, we’re eager to bring reputable lecturers and clinicians, both seasoned and just starting out their careers, together for this unique conference,” said Ormco President Vicente Reynal. “From a dinner and dance supporting charity to hands-on workshops, registering for the Damon Forum guarantees clinical growth and is a social experience you won’t want to miss.”
Discover, connect and innovate at this year’s Damon Forum. Lectures will cover a wide array of insights around simplified treatment mechanics for easier finishes that result in outstanding smiles with positive bone, tissue, and airway control. Workshop topics include “The Efficiencies of Passive Self-Ligation Mechanics,” “Phase 1–Early Treatment” and “New Techniques in Addressing TMJ.” Sessions are facilitated by the industry’s most influential speakers—Dr. Dwight Damon, Dr. Stuart Frost, Dr. John Graham, Dr. Hisham Badawi, Dr. Steve Tracey, Dr. Jeff Kozlowski and more. Additionally, new this year, Ormco is offering an optional pre-forum Insignia BootCamp to help practices get digitally equipped.
In addition to educational components, the Damon Forum hosts a variety of social and team-building activities including a golf tournament, 5K run and happy hour with exhibitors. Also returning this year is the highly anticipated Smile for a Lifetime Foundation charity event. The Ormco co-sponsored, non-profit organization provides free quality orthodontic care to individuals with financial challenges and special orthodontic needs and last year raised more than $100,000 at the Damon Forum.
“My staff and I are already planning for our Damon Forum trip to Phoenix. The 2013 Damon Forum refueled us and we walked away with a fresh viewpoint and strategies to immediately implement into our practice marketing and treatment philosophies,” said past Damon Forum attendee Dr. Derek Straffon of Straffon Orthodontics. “The Damon Forum is an inspiring mix of educational sessions, fun team-building activities and networking opportunities.”
