Registration is Now Open for Carestream Dental’s 2017 Global Oral Health Summit

carestream_logo-8295649ATLANTA—Oral health professionals of all specialties are invited to take their practice to the next level at the 2017 Global Oral Health Summit. This is a two-day immersive learning experience designed for professionals looking to enhance their workflow by either learning more about the software and equipment they already have or by introducing new technology to their practice.
The Summit, hosted by Carestream Dental, takes place Nov. 10-12, 2017, in Orlando, Fla. It builds on the success of last year’s event in Las Vegas, which combined Carestream Dental’s three separate users’ meetings of the past into one comprehensive event.
In addition to courses geared towards tackling everyday challenges, discussing the latest industry trends and exploring innovation in diagnostic techniques, Carestream Dental trainers will also lead hands-on courses specifically designed for CS OrthoTrac, CS PracticeWorks, CS SoftDent, CS WinOMS and imaging software.
Whether they’re Carestream Dental technology users or not, the Summit is geared towards clinical and front office team members, endodontists, general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, pedodontists, periodontists, prosthodontists and treatment coordinators. Courses will appeal to all learning levels, from new team members to seasoned professionals, with entry/intermediate and advanced courses. While there are specific tracks based on specialty, attendees are encouraged to pick and choose the courses that best fit their learning requirements and goals.
The Summit opens with keynote speaker Ryan Estis, a former Fortune 500 executive and agent of change. Estis teaches audiences how to build high-trust, high-value relationships; connect employees to a shared vision and set of values; and effectively use emerging technology to improve communication, culture and work life. Public speaker and cancer-awareness advocate Eva Grayzel also returns to share her powerful story of overcoming stage IV oral cancer. Grayzel closed last year’s Summit with her engaging, interactive presentation that received high praise from attendees who were moved by her inspiring story.
Of course, there are several networking and social events at the Summit designed to connect specialists and technology-users with their peers. Different events are tailored to make networking as businesslike or as casual as attendees choose. That may mean a formal networking lunch, the poolside opening reception and laser light show or even the Latin dance-inspired workout session or 5K around the hotel grounds before the start of courses each morning.
“The Summit is a fully customizable educational, networking and team-building experience,” Ed Shellard, D.M.D., vice president, sales and marketing, Carestream Dental, said. “There’s no need to pre-register for courses, so it’s easier than ever to pick and choose the classes that best suit attendees’ needs. Networking events are clearly indicated by specialty and/or software, so teams can mix and mingle or stick to what/who they know. And you can’t beat the location—Orlando in November! We’ve specifically left Sunday open so that teams can spend some free time in this tropical paradise.”
Also, for attendees who arrive early in Orlando, a service project in conjunction with Clean the World brings attendees together over breakfast Friday morning to assemble hygiene kits that will then be provided to underprivileged members of the Orlando community.
The Summit will also play host to technology exhibitors, giving attendees the opportunity to break from educational sessions and meet with dozens of Carestream Dental’s partners. Carestream Dental product experts will also be on-hand all day to answer questions about what’s new from Carestream Dental, how its equipment and software integrate to streamline doctors’ workflow and how Carestream Dental provides next-level support so attendees can “level up” the way they run their practices.
