NEW YORK, July 2026 — SoftSmile, orthodontic technology company behind the VISION treatment planning platform, announced Vision Concierge — a conversational AI agent built directly into the treatment planning software and SoftSmile portal.
From conversation to clinical action
Clinical software has traditionally required practitioners and staff to navigate menus, manually complete forms, manipulate 3D models and repeat administrative tasks that consume significant time.
Now, a doctor or staff member types a request in plain language — and the agent automatically retrieves the relevant patient data, interprets the context, and performs the appropriate action within the platform. For example: a user can ask the agent to pull up a patient summary, translate records into another language, or auto-fill a form - and it executes that action instantly, without navigating menus.
The agent has been trained on clinical orthodontic literature, established treatment protocols, thousands of setups approved by clinicians and VISION's proprietary knowledge base — and adapts to the individual preferences and protocols of each user over time.

Agent-Based AI in VISION

Vision Concierge, now available on the SoftSmile portal, is the first step in a broader AI development roadmap. SoftSmile is actively developing the next generation of Vision AI, a more advanced agent- based system capable of devising a complete treatment protocol, and autonomously executing every step - from case analysis, diagnostics, initial positioning, attachments placement to the final stage of treatment while the doctor controls each step. The concierge approach means that the doctor is the client: only doctors have the final say, and nothing will be done or approved without their confirmation.
