In part 1 of this 2 part series, Dr. Mehdi Peikar, inventor of Brius discusses his unique educational background, how it started him on the path to developing Brius and the benefits it provides to patients.

Dr. Mehdi Peikar, DDS, PhD, MS
Dr. Peikar is an orthodontist and physicist. He is the inventor of BRIUS. He received a M.Sc. degree in condensed matter and quantum mechanics from the Physics Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his PhD in Biomechanics and Biophysics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Biophysics Department. He completed his residency at the three-year residency program in orthodontics at UCLA in 2019.
