Septodont is pleased to announce its acquisition of DLA (injectable dental anesthetic manufacturing plant) from Dentsply International, located in Catanduva, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The acquisition was done through its Brazilian affiliate, TDV. Septodont is currently the leading manufacturer of dental injectable anesthetics in the world, producing over 500 million dental injectable anesthetic cartridges annually.
“Our immediate goal is to provide all customers with a seamless integration period, meaning that things will remain business as usual for now. In the longer term we will invest in the site by upgrading the product offerings and capitalizing on the wonderful team that’s been established at the Catanduva site”, stated Paul Mondock, President of Septodont, Americas.
This acquisition is Septodont's second in the Brazilian market. In 2014, Septodont acquired the TDV organization based in Pomerode, Santa Caterina, Brazil and with this current investment, plans to strengthen their presence throughout the Latin American region and beyond.
